Jack Keogh

President

A native of Ireland, Jack Keogh, M.A., is an author and personal coach. He leads team-building sessions for all levels of personnel across a wide range of industries.

He has enjoyed a diversified career in consulting and management within corporate and non-profit institutions both in the United States and abroad.

He developed hands-on consulting skills serving as a Regional Vice President at one of the premier Human Resources consulting firms, headquartered in New York City. Subsequently, he created and directed the international mobility management programs for a major US corporation.

He also contributed on a senior management level as chief operations officer for a New York City based professional organization

As Executive Director of a respected Non Governmental Organization in New York, he worked with international corporations and the European Union to create and direct a non-profit organization dedicated to reducing the conflict in Ireland through economic development. In Mexico City, where he resided for over ten years, he served at the prestigious Anahuac University, a leading university in Latin America. He has consulted with major multinational corporations and his assignments have led him to many countries in Europe, Asia, Africa and the Americas.

Jack served as Vice President, Human Capital Strategies at Prudential Real Estate and Relocation Services, a division of Prudential Financial, where he was privileged to help develop the international capabilities of the company

He studied in Spain and Italy, holds undergraduate and graduate degrees from universities in those countries and is fluent in their languages. He is certified in the use of several assessment instruments including the Hogan Leadership Assessment Suite, Myers, Salovey, Caruso Emotional Intelligence Test, a powerful ability-based assessment that identifies the four core abilities of emotional intelligence; the Myers Briggs Type Indicator, DISC, and the Overseas Assignment Inventory (OAI), all of which contribute to his understanding of the cultural dynamics of human capital issues. Jack prefers the coaching module of Hogan Assessments for in depth executive coaching.

He makes many presentations internationally, delivers training, and consults on team integration issues. Jacks’ international experience covers the USA, Europe, Asia Pacific and Latin America. Most recently he has spent much of his time with managers and teams in Mexico, where he is a highly regarded and sought after consultant and speaker.

A native of Dublin, Ireland, he resides with his wife and children in Delaware, USA.

Pilar Villalon Segui

Partner

Pilar Villalón is a Partner in Keogh & Associates Consulting, LLC. She serves as the lead consultant for Latin America. Pilar specializes in executive and personal coaching, personality assessment, personnel selection, teambuilding, and cross-cultural training.

Based in Mexico City, Pilar focuses especially on the Latin America market. A clinical psychologist by training, she coaches our clients to experience fresh perspectives on personal challenges and opportunities, enhanced thinking and decision making skills, enhanced interpersonal effectiveness, and increased confidence in carrying out their chosen work and life roles.

Pilar has special expertise in coaching our clients through successful cultural transitions of all types, including changes in assignment, location or geographic reach, integration into new corporate or departmental cultures, and how to successfully shift the culture of a function or a department. Executives turn to her at the critical junctures in their career to strengthen skills or to vastly expand their leadership abilities (e.g. global emotional intelligence, matrix collaboration) in the face of sweeping challenges.

Pilar is also a certified in the “Tomatis Method”, developed in the 1960’s by the French physician, Dr. Alfred A. Tomatis. Apart from the astounding clinical benefits that can be achieved for those with auditory processing challenges, Pilar uses the method, when appropriate, to help improve workplace performance, communication skills, stress management and the development of emotional intelligence. The auditory stimulation achieved using Tomatis enables clients preparing for foreign assignments to learn and retain 50% more of a foreign language in 50% less time. Pilar manages the intercultural training and relocation services we provide our clients in Mexico.

Ken Davis

Associate

Dr. Kenneth W. Davis is a professor emeritus and former chair of
English at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis,
specializing in business writing and intercultural business
communication. Ken earned a B.A. from Drake University, an M.A. from Columbia University, and a Ph.D. from the University of Michigan.

As a consultant and trainer, Ken has worked in Botswana, Hong Kong, Kyrgyzstan, Taiwan, Thailand, and the United Arab Emirates, as well as various countries in North America and Europe. His clients have included the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company, the Republic of Botswana, IBM, Prudential Intercultural, Thomson Consumer Electronics, the U. S. Social Security Administration, Whirlpool, and the International Monetary Fund.

Ken’s most recent book is The McGraw-Hill 36-Hour Course in Business Writing and Communication, which has been translated into Mandarin. He is immediate past president of the Association of Professional Communication Consultants.

Ken and his wife, Bette, have two adult children and a dog.

Bette Davis

Associate

Bette Davis grew up in a U.S. Army family and so lived throughout the world as a “third-culture kid.” She earned a B.A. in education from the University of Michigan and an M.S. in adult education from Indiana University.

As a consultant and trainer, Bette has worked in North America,
Europe, and Asia, for such organizations as the Ford Motor Company, Prudential Intercultural, Right Associates, and Rolls-Royce. Besides doing intercultural training for both adults and children, she has assisted several companies with their outplacement and career development needs, including individual counseling, seminars, job development, and career center management.

In the past seven years alone, as trainers for Prudential
Intercultural, Bette and her husband, Ken, have worked with more than 250 expats and their families, earning a 2008 satisfaction rating of 100 percent.

Bette has been active in a number of community organizations and has chaired the board of a large health maintenance organization.

Bette and her husband Ken have two adult children and a dog.
